Your final grade is a function of two things: In-class participation and exercises.

In-class participation (34%)
You are expected to come to class—every class—and participate. Participation entails doing the reading, participating in the discussions of the readings, and being a contributing group member during the in-class portion of the exercises. For each week, you will get either a “satisfactory” or “unsatisfactory” participation grade. There are 11 course meetings, so your final participation grade will be calculated as:

Nsatisfactory11×100\frac{N_{satisfactory}}{11} \times 100

Exercises (66%)
Each class will have a hands-on exercise (11 total). You must complete each of them and turn them in on Moodle by the specified date and time. We will start each exercise during class, but they are always due by the beginning of the next week’s class.

Each exercise has its own set of instructions. Each exercise is graded on a 0-100 scale. Your final exercise grade is the average.
